At the age of twelve, Mother Teresa heard a call from God. Her missionary was to serve and show the love of God. When she turned 18, she left her home and joined the sisters of Loreto. She was born on August 26, 1910. Agnes (her maiden name) was the youngest of 3 children. After her death in 1997, lots of her sisters worked under 610 organizations.(Associated Press) She has won 9 awards such as the Nobel Peace Prize, Kennedy Prize, and Honorary citizenship of the United States.
